Description
You should know that St. Patty's is one of my favorite holidays, and so I want to share a bit of it with you! Here's a recipe I whipped up today special for you all.
Many of you may think "Why am I adding wax to this!?".. well, the wax makes the chocolate have the stiff, frozen texture to it that dipping chocolate for ice cream does. It is NOT dangerous to eat, and I promise is absolutely safe (and common) to add.
The reason you freeze the balls before coating them in chocolate is that the toothpick sticks in it better, and it won't fall off into the chocolate. It also cools it faster so you have less puddle around the ball after placing it on wax paper. You definitely should place them on wax paper over say, a plate, because with wax paper, you'll be able to pull off the entire popper with all the chocolate instead of just the main body and leaving a lot of chocolate left over.
You can also do these in other colors with different sprinkles for ANY holiday, but because I love St. Patty's so much, I wanted these to be specific for that
It takes somewhere between an hour or two to make these, but they go over fantastically! Everyone enjoys a simple, small treat, especially one you made so pretty yourself.
