I've done this two years now, (last year being an overwhelming success) and I'm bringing it back again for the third time!

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

NOW LET'S SEE IT!

1. I'd love to find a way to see *Blithegirl. She's so sweet and has really taken care of me in both good and bad times, and she's my facebook waifuu, of course, hahaha. She's in California and I'm in Texas, and I just hope someday I can see her and find a way to actually give her a hug so she knows how much she means to me and has helped my life.

2. I want snow, just like always. Snow makes me feel so happy inside, and breathing cold air makes my soul sing. I love seeing it fall on everything with a soft glitter and hushing the air... It's something that as a Texan I know I can't take advantage of, and I hope it comes this year!

3. I want my heart to be free of the pain I've been put through and to have the ability to get past a really bad end with an important person in my life and just... move on. I want to come to terms with it, and maybe find that I'm not as worthless as I've felt these past months.

4. I'd love scented oils and supplies to make solid perfume, lotion, lip balm, and even soap. I love those as a craft and I want to get into them more! Jewelry of course is always on my list, too.... Moonstone and Blue Goldstone anything? LOVE it. Other hobbies I want to try? Making soy candles & wood burning. It just sounds awesome. Supplies for those things in general are AWESOME.

5. I always wish I had more corsets-- always. Any kind. They make me feel attractive and pretty.

6. Kinda materialistic, but I wish I had more Puscifer/Tool/A Perfect Circle gear. I love MJK and all groups he's in to pieces, and I'll likely miss the Puscifer concert in my city this month, but I'd still be pumped to have a t-shirt or something. [link] [link] [link]

7. I wish I could look like a little kawaii girl in baby pinks and blues--- long pink pigtail wig (likely the hardest to get for this), fun necklaces and accessories, stockings, petticoats, barrettes, anything. I just think it'd be so beyond fun to get to do.

8. As lame as it sounds, I've wanted a fuzzy panda hat for SO LONG... similar to this, but as a panda: [link]


9. Cosplay items! Oh man, I have so many dream cosplays but I haven't been able to afford making them... Wigs, props, even actual costumes. If you possibly have old cosplays you don't want, I'd be so amped to even BORROW them. 10. Same as last year-- I'd love to get a Daily Deviation.... Getting my art and message out to dA alone would mean a lot to me. FAQ #18: Who selects the Daily Deviation and how is it chosen?
